MY OTHER STUFF
Copenhagen Kletzmer Images of the Copenhagen Kletzmer band Mazel in concert, October 31, 2004
Copenhagen Summer A series of images from Copenhagen, taken in the summer of 2004
Photokina 2004 The world's most important imaging trade show takes place in Cologne every other year. I went to the show in September 2004, drooled over equipment, and met up with old friends from the Leica Users Group.
Amsterdam Pride 2004 Amsterdam Pride is the annual gay festival held each summer on the canals of the city. I focused mainly on the spectators.
Poland December 2003

(hosted on Leica Gallery Net)

I spent Christmas and New Year 2003 in Poland. This gallery contains 39 images from the city of Wroclaw and surrounding areas. I try to show the good, the bad and the ugly sides of Poland's transition to a market economy.
Alsace

(hosted on Leica Gallery Net)

In late May 2003, I was at a Viewfinders event again, this time a photographic weekend in Alsace, my favourite part of France. This gallery has the results of this trip, augmented with some earlier pictures from there. A second gallery contains pictures of my fellow photographers during our assault on the restaurants, towns and landscapes of Alsace.
Viewfinders Exhibition 2003 It is always a thrill to participate in an exhibition. Viewfinders, the Brussels-based photography club I belong to, held its annual show in Tervuren 16-18 May 2003. I concentrated on the visitors and my fellow club members.
Zürich Fasnacht 2003

(hosted on Leica Gallery Net)

Fasnacht is the Swiss version of the carnival--here are some pictures from the 2003 event in Zürich.
Swiss Winter

(hosted on Leica Gallery Net)

Pictures taken mostly around Zurich during January and February 2003--the winter was spectacular this year!
Poland December 2002

(hosted on Leica Gallery Net)

A collection of 30 pictures, mostly from the city of Wroclaw, where I was born. Also a few from the countryside in south-western Poland. Most of the pictures were taken during visits in December 2002/January 2003 and in July 2001.
Amsterdam On 26 May 2002 Tom Abrahamsson (maker of the famous Rapidwinder) and his wife Tuulikki visited Amsterdam, and Sander van Hulsenbeek organised a meeting of the Dutch and Belgian LUGgers to welcome Tom and Tuulikki. We met at Sander's apartment and then took a long boat ride on the canals of Amsterdam, followed by a nice long walk to a restaurant where we finished the evening. This presentation contains about twenty images from this event. Even when it rains, one has a great time in Amsterdam!
Damme In early December 2001 I attended a landscape photography workshop led by Charlie Waite, one of the world's premier landscape photographers. Even though the weather was iffy at best, it was a wonderful experience, and here you find a sample of the resulting images. The workshop was organised by Viewfinders, the English-language photography club in Brussels.
Israel 2002 I spent a week in Israel in June 2002 because of a wedding in my family. It was very much a family reunion, so the images are very much "people pictures" rather than street or travel photography. There are some images from Netanya at night, where one sees the impact on tourism of the terrorist attacks.
My London

London is one of those places that I visit so often that I consider that great city a second home (well, maybe third). This is a collection of pictures taken during business trips and a couple of weekend visits. This is a portrait of London as I experience it, taking in both the well-known areas like Covent Garden and places where few tourists ever go, such as Canning Town or the inside of one of London's grand, old gentlemens' clubs. Most of the images were taken in 2002.
Oktoberfest Stuttgart 2002

(hosted on Leica Gallery Net)

When most people think of Oktoberfest, they think of Munich. But many other German cities have their own Oktoberfests, and I found the one in Stuttgart to be as good as its more famous cousin. It is less crowded, but the beer is just as good, as is the food (vegetarians beware, you will go hungry...).
Lisbon

(hosted on Leica Gallery Net)

In October 2000, I had the good fortune to spend a few days in Portugal's capital, and I had plenty of time to wander the streets with my Leica. I found Lisbon to be one of the most photogenic cities I have ever visited.
Belgium Belgium means great food, even better beer, nice people, and a countryside with a certain charm. It is much more than Brussels and the EU!
Belgian Markets Wonderful junk or antique markets (depending on your point of view) are held in almost every Belgian town every Sunday. My wife shops, I take pictures.
