A record of my visit to Poland's capital in June 2018, focusing on the historical aspects of the city, often painful to contemplate. But today's Warsaw is also a reborn, modern, European city.
Statue of Cardinal Stefan WyszyĆski, archbishop of Warsaw from 1948 until his death in 1981. Many consider him a national hero because of his steadfast opposition to Communist rule, which cost him 3 years in jail during the 1950s.
