A few days in south-eastern Poland

My first-ever visit to the part of Poland bordering Slovakia to the south and Ukraine to the east, with Rzeszów as the main base but also with visits to other towns in the region, including Sanok, Lesko, Tarnów and Łańcut.

Sanok, Franciskan monastery. Painting of Maximilian Kolbe, a Franciskan friar who volunteered to die at Auschwitz in place of another prisoner. He was beatified in 1971.
