A few days in south-eastern Poland

My first-ever visit to the part of Poland bordering Slovakia to the south and Ukraine to the east, with Rzeszów as the main base but also with visits to other towns in the region, including Sanok, Lesko, Tarnów and Łańcut.

Poland was partitioned between Russia, Austria-Hungary and Prussia during the 19th century. There were big rebellions in 1831 and 1863. Graves of people who participated in those rebellions are marked with Polish flags.
